Who We Are

Eligibility And Authority

Users must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission and supervision required by law, to use Mantle.

If a user accepts the terms for a company or team, they confirm they have authority to do so.

License To Use Mantle

Mantle grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the app and website for lawful internal use, subject to the terms.

Mantle is licensed, not sold.

Acceptable Use

Use Mantle only for lawful purposes and only with content the user has the right to access and edit.

Do not misuse the app or website, interfere with downloads or support channels, bypass technical protections, introduce malware, scrape or abuse the website, or use Mantle to infringe another person's rights.

Your Content

Users remain responsible for the files, notes, and other content they open, edit, store, transmit, or share through Mantle.

Mantle is local-first. Workspace content stays on the user's machine unless they choose to share it, or unless limited telemetry or support data is sent as described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property And Feedback

Mantle or its licensors own the app, website, branding, and related materials, excluding user content and third-party rights.

If users send feedback, ideas, bug reports, or suggestions, Mantle may use them without restriction or additional compensation.

Updates, Availability, And Future Paid Services

Mantle may change over time, may contain bugs, and may be modified, paused, or withdrawn at any time.

Mantle may ship updates, fixes, security patches, compatibility changes, or breaking changes.

Mantle is currently offered as a free local-first desktop product. Paid plans, paid features, or separate commercial terms may be introduced later.

Third-Party Services And Links

Mantle may rely on or link to third-party services, including PostHog Cloud EU for limited telemetry and website analytics, support and community contact channels, and external websites or downloads.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

No Warranty

Mantle is provided on an as is and as available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Mantle does not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability Limits

Nothing in the terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mantle will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business, data, or opportunity.

Mantle's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Mantle will not exceed the greater of GBP 100 and the amount the user paid Mantle in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Limitation Of Support

Mantle may offer support and respond to feedback, but does not guarantee response times, issue resolution, or uninterrupted availability.

Suspension And Termination

Mantle may suspend or end access to the website, downloads, support channels, or related services if a user materially breaches the terms, misuses Mantle, or creates risk or harm for Mantle, its users, or third parties.

Users may stop using Mantle at any time.

Governing Law

The terms and any non-contractual disputes or claims relating to them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives the user the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
